Cadets
win with fundraising Weekend
Last
weekend a group of staff and cadets stayed at
the unit to assist with the unit fundraising efforts.
It started with a pub crawl on Friday night and
ended with a flag day in Ashton-Under-Lyne on
the Saturday.
Along with the recruitment stand and rescue boat
the aim of the weekend was to raise at least £1,000
and make the local children and adults of the
opportunities available in the sea cadets where
it be as a cadet or volunteer. The unit was surprised
to find the weekend yielded £1,677.

Cadets
make a Success of Local Fund Raising
A small group of cadets
and staff spent the week at the unit this week
getting their sailing skills up to date. At the
end of the week they were joined by a few others
cadets and between them they headed out and about
around the Tameside Area to raise funds.
The group managed to raise approx £496 for
the unit, so thank you and well done to all the
cadets and staff who assisted and stayed onboard.
