Five cadets successfully
complete Leading Cadet Board...
Charlotte Saycell,
Hannah Parker, Karla
Lowe and Sallie &
Cassie Matley attended the districts
leading cadet board at the unit this weekend.
Along with 5 other cadets from the district the
cadets were tested and assessed on their abilities
to become a leading cadet.
All the cadets showed good promise and the five
girls from Tameside passed the board, so well
done to them all. Unfortnatley Charlotte cannot
be promoted as yet as you have to be 15 to be
advanced to a leading cadet, but this will now
happen when she gets to 15 and it is a very good
achievement to pass for leading cadet prior to
being 15 and a great achievement by the other
girls.

Cadets pick up
Seamanship Award...
This weekend saw a group
of cadets attend the unit in order to gain an
extra qualification to assist both with their
knowledge and also to give them a specialisation.
Being involved in boating and the sea, all cadets
take the seamanship course at some point to give
them a good grounding for further training. So
well done to the following cadets -:
Cadets Nathan Burke, Jemma Shaw, Laura
Handley, Andrew Taylor, Charlotte Latchford, Jack
Townley, Domonic Traynor and
Jorge Sanderson. These cadets have now
been awarded their 3rd class seamanship specialisation.
