Get the Picture that tells the Sea Cadet
Story and you could scoop a top prize in the Photographic
Challenge
You don’t need to be a David Bailey
or a budding paparazzo to make the grade, just an
eye for a photo that puts the Corps in the frame.
In a warship, aboard TS Royalist or TS John Jerwood,
during an overseas exchange, at a training school
or competition, or just down at the Unit –
whenever you see a great shot. And if you come up
with the goods you will be crowned Sea Cadet Photographer
of the Year.
In association with our friends at The Naval Photograph
Club, this year we are awarding two prizes open
to Cadets of all ages:
The Tod Trophy, named after Vice Admiral Sir Jonathan
Tod KCB CBE, the last Chairman of the Sea Cadet
Association, for the best photograph of any Sea
Cadet activity
The Anthony Preston Memorial Trophy, named after
the renowned naval author and historian, for the
best photograph of a ship
We are also introducing a new trophy for
adults:
The President’s Trophy, awarded for the best
photograph of any Sea Cadet Corps related activity
taken by an adult volunteer.
The competition will be co-ordinated by the President
of The Naval Photograph Club, Dr Duncan Veasey.
Entries should be clearly marked SEA CADET CORPS
