Cadets say goodbye to Old Faithful.

Since 2004 we have been riding around in an old LDV minibus. Whilst it might not have been the highest spec minibus and a bit old it has served the unit very well in the last 3 years. Over the years the bus has been all over the country and apart from a couple of blips (the last one on our return from Collingwood) it has been excellent value for money.

But the time has come for us to part company and for us to procure a new, more modern and sign written bus to go with our new canoes, sailing fleet, power boat and trailers. We sold the old bus yesterday so lets hope we get as much value and service out of a newer bus.

Expedition Leader Awards for Cadets visiting Dalesbridge.

Cadets from the Manchester District completed their second Expedition Leader training course. The first was held at Tameside with a day walk, camping and map reading skills.

The second weekend saw the cadets camping at Dalesbridge in North Yorkshire. The attending cadets either obtained their Expedition Leader Class 5 or Camp Craft proficiency depending on their age.

Well Done to all that attended.
